Education System in Vatican City

Vatican City, the Holy City of Rome, falls in the sovereign territory of the Holy See. It is ruled and administered by the Pope- Bishop of Rome and the leader of churches worldwide. It is the smallest and the least populated independent country of the world with a population of just over 800.

Vatican City has no mountains or water bodies and experiences the temperate climate of Rome with mild, wet winters from September to May and hot and dry summers from June to September.

There is no school education available in Vatican City. The Education System of Vatican City consists of around 15 educational institutions, that are not necessarily located within the Vatican City but around the boundaries and have been given an approval by the Pope. These colleges, institutes and universities offer a variation of courses like Canon Law of the Church, Spirituality and Theology. They also train young seminarians and ordinands from all around the world for the post of clergies.
