Tuition Fees
The tuition fee in Montenegro varies from university to university. For bachelor degree programme, students can expect to €1500 per academic year; for specialist studies- €2000 per year; for master’s degree programme- €2500 per year; and for doctoral studies- €3000 per academic year.

The accommodation cost ranges from 80 EUR to 400 EUR per month.
Transportation
In Montenegro, buses and taxis are easily available. Students can get around the country visa bus. Ticket for the bus can be purchased from the bus driver when you board.

Visa
EU pupils who are coming to Montenegro on exchange programmes can enter the country with a passport and then receive the visa for long-term stay here in Montenegro. These students must report to the inspector of foreigners in 24 hours and submit a temporary stay request on the basis of participation in international projects.
Non-EU students must apply for visa.
Types of Visas
- Long-Stay Visa (D): This visa is issued if the stay is above 90 days, but not longer than 6 months.
- Short stay visa (C): This visa is issued if the stay in Montenegro is less than 90 days in a period of 6 months
Visa Application Procedure
International students who want to study in Montenegro must apply for a visa at the Montenegro embassy/consulate in their country. If there is no Montenegro embassy/consulate in your country, in that case you can apply for the visa at your nearest Serbian embassy/consulate. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with the Ministry of Interior is responsible for processing visa request of international students.
International students must fill a visa application form and submit it along with the following documents:
- A valid copy of passport and two passport-size photos
- Invitation letter from the higher education institution in Montenegro
- Return air ticket
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover the cost of study and living in Montenegro
- Proof of health insurance
- Evidence of accommodation in Montenegro: Can be rent agreement.
- Proof of visa fee paid
