Academic Quality Assurance and National Bodies in Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is affiliated to the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and follows the quality standards directed by that organisation. Liechtenstein is a member of EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education) association. The regular participation of students in the assessment of the curriculum and the quality of the teaching is a fundamental part of the quality assurance system in Liechtenstein.

Due to its diminutive size, Liechtenstein has no quality assurance authority and thus depends on international collaboration, mainly with Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Higher education institutions in Liechtenstein are regulated by the Government and the Office of Education.
