TFI: French Language Proficiency Test
The TFI is standardized test administered by Educational Testing Sevices (ETS) to measure French language Proficiency. This is a test for candidates learning French. The test score depicts how well you can communicate in French language in daily life / academia / industrial settings. You will be tested for Listening and Reading comprehension skills and uses common everyday vocabulary, phrases and key expressions that reflect real-world tasks. It makes a wonderful tool to non-native speakers of French who need to study or work in French language settings.

TFI Test Format
The TFI test takes approximately 2.5 hours, with:
- 42 minutes for Part I: Listening Comprehension
- 68 minutes for Part 2: Reading Comprehension
- approximately 30 minutes to answer biographical questions

Part I: Listening Comprehension (Comprehension Orale)Test takers listen to a variety of questions and answers, short dialogues and talks recorded in French, and they answer questions based on what they hear.

TFI Test Score
The TFI Test Score is a measure of French Listening and French Reading skills in daily life and workplace. The Listening Comprehension and Reading Comprehension scores together gives a total test score on a scale ranging from 10 to 990 points (5 to 495 points for each section). TFI scores are valid and reported for two years from the test administration date, and scores are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The score card is supplied to test takers and employers / schools. The TFI Test Score is valid for a period of 2 years from the test date.
