Academic Grading Systems differ broadly based on level of education, types of education, the place where a student is enrolled and policies of the institution.

Academic Grading is a measure of students’ performance in previous year of study and prediction of whether the student in question applying for a certain set of courses would be able to perform and complete further studies.

System of Academic Grading differs worldwide. Institutions use Grade Equivalency System for admission. However, only grade equivalency is not enough predicator. This is where standardized tests help.

Score in a standardized tests define whether a student is able to complete next level of coursework or not. Also performance in standardized tests is taken as a measure of success by many employers.
