Paralegal and Legal Assistants may or may not come from law education background. These are secretarial job titles. The education qualification to work as Paralegal and Legal Assistant varies depending on employer and location. Also, a lot depends on what kind of assistance an employer is really looking. A legal or paralegal assistant who work for an advocate may be required an Associate Degree or a Bachelor's Degree. However, for the same position a judge or attorney may look to hire candidate with degree or higher degree in law.
