IELTS for Special Need People

Disabilities are not new to human society. There is significant population of people with special needs. IELTS has 4 sections to measure your level of English; Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking. People with special needs may not be able to response the IELTS in same format as it presented to everyone. If you have disabilities of learning, hearing or vision, the testing authority has arrangements for you. So you won’t get left behind in academic / work life, the IELTS test centre near you will help out.

If you are a person with special needs inform IELTS test at least 6 weeks before the exam day.

Special arrangements include the following:
  • Braille papers
  • Special Listening CD with necessary stops and pauses
  • Lip-reading version of the Listening test
  • Enlarged print or Speaking task cards in Braille.
  • The IELTS is 2 hours 45 minutes test. If required extra time is provide to test takers with special needs.
